The Noble Blades are proud of their long association with the following organizations:

Reston Community Players

Reston Community Players is committed to excellence in community theatre for Reston, Virginia and metropolitan Washington, D.C.

For more than 40 years, RCP has been an integral part of our growing town. The success of our theatrical productions (and our longevity!) is an outward sign of our talents and abilities, proving that with a tremendous amount of work, patience, ingenuity, and thousands of hours of commitment, it is possible to make an all-volunteer organization like ours prosper and grow.

Incorporated in 1972 as a non-profit organization, RCP evolved from the Reston Players, a for-profit entity founded in 1966. The Reston Community Players has brought to the public a variety of theatrical experiences over the years, including classics and original plays as well as popular Broadway musicals, dramas, mysteries, and comedies. Partially funded by grants from Fairfax County, in cooperation with the Arts Council of Fairfax County, we welcome one and all, and offer something for everyone.

Society of American Fight Directions

The Society of American Fight Directors is an internationally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to promoting safety and fostering excellence in the art of stage combat. Whether you are a producer, director, actor or teacher, we can help accelerate your stage combat skills.

SAFD members gain access to a world class networking organization, high calibre stage combat training, and mentorship all designed to expand your career. Our members include professional actors, directors, producers, educators, dancers, singers, stunt performers, historians, and armorers working in theatre, film, television, all levels of academia, stunt shows, opera, and the video gaming industry.

Fiocchi Sword

The Noble Blades’ stage combat weapons are mostly the work of talented Ohio-based craftsman Tom Fiocchi. Tom’s skill and artistry as a sword furbisher or cutler have placed him in high demand nationwide. We love slinging his steel and encourage you to contact him if you’d like to invest in your own stage-safe weapons and other props. Click on the link above to learn more, plus see more on Tom’s Facebook page.

Preferred Arms

Preferred Arms is the source for top-quality theatrical weapons. Every piece in our vast armory has been hand selected to exacting standards, meeting or exceeding the stringent demands placed upon them by combat on the stage (or in front of the camera). We have rented to thousands of schools, theatres and production companies and pride ourselves on the high percentage of repeat business we enjoy from satisfied customers from every state in the U.S.

Preferred Arms is owned and operated by Robb Hunter, a Fight Master, Certified Teacher, Fight Director and Theatrical Firearms Instructor for the Society of American Fight Directors with decades of experience in virtually every aspect of the theatre. Whether you need medieval swords for Henry V, replica M-16A2 rifles for In the Heart of America, a combat worthy hook for Peter Pan or a German MP40 sub-machine gun for Bent, our job at Preferred Arms is to equip you with props to ensure that your actors, audience and crew are as safe as possible, while making your production look its best.
