Classes

The Noble Blades are committed to continuous learning about stage combat. To that end, the group provides a forum for three main categories of classes:

Blue Ball Introductory/brush-up courses: these multi-week offerings are generally broad in scope, offered once a year (usually in the first quarter), and designed for anyone (age 15 or older) new to stage combat or looking to brush up on his/her skills.

Blue Ball Master classes: taught by SAFD certified teachers or fight directors, these are one-day classes generally covering a specific topic, offered a couple times a year, and open to those with some prior stage combat experience.

Blue Ball SAFD Skills Proficiency Tests: taught by SAFD certified teachers or fight directors, the intensive SPTs fulfill the SAFD requirements for actor/combatant status. In recent years, The Noble Blades have only hosted re-test workshops for current actor/combatants, though opportunities for would-be actor/combatants looking to test for the first time exist elsewhere in the area and across the country (contact your local SAFD regional representative or visit http://www.safd.org).
Information on these and other area stage combat classes will be posted below as they become available.
