(Discounts available as discussed, please contact us for more)
This class is 18+
Taught by Robb Hunter
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that has been around for a century but has only enjoyed widespread popularity since the early 1990s. With this (relative) popularity we began to see its techniques used in films such as Flash Point, Haywire, John Wick, The Kingsman, The Mandalorian, the MCU and even as far back as Lethal Weapon and it is increasingly common to see at least an RNC* or CCC* popping up in many films and even YouTube fights. This class will look at the basic concepts of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, focusing on key recognizable elements that differentiate it from other martial arts. We will look at a few basic submissions in the context of actual application and modifications for use on stage.
