A series of exercises to take into fight rehearsals to help the combatants go beyond simply learning choreography into actually acting the fight. Excellent for anyone who is interested in working as a fight captain or who would like to improve their SPTs. Better for students who have some stage combat experience, but okay for beginners.

J. Tyler Jones (he/him) has been studying and working with the Society of American Fight Directors since 2007. He spent a decade in southern California working as an actor, teacher, and fight director before moving to the DC area in 2019 to get his MFA from the Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University. Tyler is currently the head of the humanities department at Fusion Academy in Washington DC, in addition to working as a freelance stage combat teacher and fight director. He was most recently seen on stage as a fighter in Il Trovatore at the Washington National Opera.
